The Langhorne Company provides strategic advisory services to closely- held corporations, family-owned real estate companies, and high net-worth investors and institutions. The company provides distinctly professional, discrete, and value enhancing real estate services based on time-tested experience and over a half-billion dollars in transactions.
Richard M. Langhorne founded The Langhorne Company with a single conviction in mind. Mr. Langhorne believes in providing real estate and financial advisory services with integrity.
During his thirty years in the commercial real estate field, Mr. Langhorne has developed skills extending to distressed and viable project and business resolution, asset and real property management, construction, and financial reporting services. Asset disposition, ad valorem tax appeal, due diligence, litigation management, litigation support, and litigation consulting are further disciplines well within his area of expertise.
Richard Langhorne sincerely aims to add value to client projects, enterprises, and organizations by focusing on building leadership and vision within a team. He is committed to relationships built on the force of ideas, chemistry within the client relationship, and reliably delivering to client expectations.
Properly balanced among other asset classes, real estate plays an important role in the creation and preservation of wealth. Mr. Langhorne views real estate as an integral asset class in individual, family, or institutional investment portfolio strategies. Real estate, with proper concentration and allocation, can be a hedge against inflation, appreciating and providing a current return on invested capital through cash flows.
The company is well regarded for insight and the ability to take control of sizeable assets, perform complex negotiations, and for working through adverse circumstances in situations with multiple or competing interests. In addition, The Langhorne Company provides traditional real estate services including turnaround and restructuring, crisis and reorganization management, insolvency, and recovery services. The company also engages in the implementation and execution of work as the client may require.
Prior to founding The Langhorne Company in 1992, Richard Langhorne was President of First Commercial Realty for seven years and Senior Vice President of The Allen Morris Company for five years.
Richard Langhorne has served on the Executive Committee of The Urban Land Institute District Council, and The Board of Directors of The Counselors of Real Estate.
